We are living in extraordinary times. Health and Social Services have been at the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic. Social Care providers will need to prepare and protect their workforces while providing vital services to their most vulnerable citizens. The social isolation and lock-down measures instituted will result in increased vulnerability for elderly and at-risk groups, a rise in unemployment and benefit recipients as well as heightened risk for care workers. Whilst agencies develop their response plans and capabilities, this is also a watershed moment to think about empowering the workforce with new tools and collaborative technologies as they transition to a new reality of home/remote-working. There is also a pressing need to experiment with new delivery models, better use of data to assess risk-factors (both for customers and agency workers) as well as accelerate technological and social innovations to support mission critical services. We will explore a number of these themes, share expert insight and actionable experience at the ESSC Interactive Workshop hosted by Accenture Social Services, ESN partner.
Innovation Solutions
We will also provide a hands-on, immersive experience for the conference attendees on two innovative solutions – a simulation platform on the Future Workforce, enabled by a series of personas, showing the key issues and challenges faced by the agency and how they are responding with agility, data-driven services, new technologies like AI and building innovative capabilities. The second solution is AVEnues (Accenture Virtual Experience Solution), that uses VR for immersive storytelling and interactive voice-based scenarios to completely transform how caseworkers hone their data-gathering and decision-making skills.
