CARMEN MAEZTU

Minister for Social Rights (Government of Navarra, Spain). Graduated in Social Work (UPV) and in Law (UNED).

She began her professional career as a social worker in a Base Social Service, participating in the design and implementation of different community intervention programs.

She has worked in management positions in the Department of Social Rights.

She has been part of state working groups, such as the AENOR “Home Help Services” subcommittee and the group for the definition of the “personal assistant” figure, promoted by IMSERSO.

In the academic field, she is co-author of the design and validation of a dependency social assessment scale and of several articles in journals in the field of social services. She has also collaborated with the UPV in research projects on child protection.
